About Heather Elder
Heather Elder represents 8 commercial photographers from her offices in San Francisco and NY. She hosts a blog that has gained industry attention for sharing perspectives and opinions from a wide range of people in the photography community. Her blog posts Dear Art Buyer and Dear Photographer continue to be re-blogged and referred to by industry leaders. She also co-founded The Community Table, a series of conversations held directly with community leaders about top of mind photo industry issues.

Heather graduated from Boston University and started her career at a advertising agency on the east coast where she worked as an account person. It was while working on the Polaroid account that she realized her interest in photography. She left the ad agency to become an agent and producer for a Boston based photographer where she used her agency background to develop her own style. Almost 20 years later she is always looking for new ways to market her photographers.
