Can you have the retirement you want? You’re in charge of your own retirement plan.

APA|NY and Adorama are partnering to bring you a valuable FREE seminar designed to help you with your career and for what comes next.

Learn how to make the most of what your photography can provide by saving and investing for the future. You may want to shoot for the rest of your life, but it's still smart to position yourself for a comfortable retirement.

Mark Stern, a retirement planning specialist and portfolio manager with Laurel Wealth Advisors, is uniquely positioned to help you succeed; Mark was a professional photographer before becoming a financial advisor, so he knows the challenges we face in a profession that is far from normal. Mark Stern will share insights into preparing for and getting the most out of retirement.

Mark Stern is a Senior Portfolio Manager with Laurel Wealth Advisors, an independent Registered Investment Advisor based in La Jolla, CA. He graduated from Parsons School of Design and worked for several years as a freelance photographer before taking the advice of his CPA to pursue a career in finance.  From his start at Dean Witter, Mark has worked with many clients in photography and the arts. "I think my clients sense that I understand them and I believe that they like that I will take the time to explain anything.” Retirement planning has been a focus since the Dean Witter days when Mark was the office co-ordinator for retirement planning products. “I enjoy doing detailed financial plans that become the framework for investment decisions. Educating clients about the advantages of multiple asset class allocation is rewarding and I feel fortunate to be able to build portfolios that include funds from the Dimensional Fund Advisors family of funds.”  Mark lives downtown New York with his photographer wife, Robin Holland, and their two labradors.
