Photographer Seth Hancock spent 47 days driving across America meeting and photographing random strangers while getting each subject to write something personal about their lives. This personal project called, "10 Minutes with a Stranger" resulted in a promotional book that helped to generate work with new clients.
Seth will talk about his approach: how he found his subjects, how he built trust in a very short amount of time - getting each person to open up and share some truly personal elements of their lives.
He will also share the various techniques in capturing the images while having no assistants, light stands or a large lighting package.
Seth Hancock is a commercial, editorial and portrait photographer in Los Angeles and New York City. Seth has recently photographed for AdWeek and various major companies. He creates images that are dynamic and playful while always trying to make his subject the hero.
