Rocío Segura

Chapter: New York /
Pro Type: Photographer

Rocio Segura graduated with a Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She has held numerous group and solo exhibitions in countries as diverse as the U.S., UK, Italy and her native Spain. Her New York debut solo exhibition occurred in April 2012 at Umbrella Arts Gallery in the Lower East Side.

More recently, Segura photographed and art directed Carolina Herrera, Samsung and Aquarius for ‘The Future of your Brand’ project featuring a slew of young & talented creatives and managed by the worldwide advertising agency TBWA. Segura’s work has also been featured in a range of magazine publications including Vice, AV Spain, DOUX, Inked, Exposure Book 2012, Unfolded, Downtown, Elegant, Ellements, Moob, Switch, Trend, Huffington Post, El Diario Montañés…

When she photographs she wants to take things back to basics and shoot images that simply bring out the stunning, almost otherworldly beauty of their subjects. The result is a collection of sultry, sensual portraits and oneiric images that are bound to catch the viewer’s eye – and their imagination, taking them on an escape to an ever-glamorous past.

Currently she lives in NYC where she works as a photographer and as a photographer assistant.
