Deborah Jaffe has been taking photos since she was 12 when she saved up $7 from her baby sitting money to buy a instamatic camera. Since then she has photographed lifestyle, interiors, photojournalism, fashion, portraits & celebrities ranging from Jon Stewart to Kerry Washington for fashion and lifestyle magazines. Her work has taken her to a jail outside Baton Rouge Louisiana to photograph a convicted killer for Glamour magazine to the Hollywood Hills to shoot covers for Domino magazine to the countryside of Vietnam and the palaces of Jaipur and the backwaters of Kerela India. Jaffe continues to shoot lifestyle, food, travel, fashion and photojournalism. Some of her clients include Glamour, In Style, Real Simple, Marie Claire, Pottery Barn, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Lands' End among others. After 25+ years of bi-coastal living in Manhattan and the Hollywood Hills she has relocated to Washington DC where she hosts a weekly radio show with her partner James Michael Causey on takomaradio.org 94.3 FM. Michael and Deborah play their favorite songs and interview personalities, authors, musicians & artists including Ralph Nader, David Crosby, Matthew Sweet & Jeffery Tooban.
This fall Deborah will be judging her first beauty pageant, Ms. & Mrs. Canada.
