Bennet Cobliner

Chapter: New York /
Pro Type: Photographer

Born and bred in the melting pot of New York City, Bennet grew up surrounded by people from many different cultures. His parents spoke only French to him for the first four years of his life. This love of languages inspired him to study both Chinese and Japanese at university.

Surrounded by art and music, Bennet sang in a choir and performed in two off-Broadway musicals. He fell in love with photography after borrowing his mother’s camera to photograph his collection of action figures.

Bennet loves photography and feels alive on set. He is drawn to beauty because it focuses on the person and demands precise lighting and technique. In this process he searches for the unique beauty of his subject while capturing a moment that connects with the viewer. His approach to beauty is influenced by the simplicity and elegance that he was exposed to while living abroad in Japan.
