On Wednesday, September 23rd from 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET, the U.S. Copyright Office held a panel to discuss “Standard Technical Measures: Legal Foundation.” The panel was moderated by Aurelia J. Schultz, Counsel for Policy and International Affairs at USCO, and consisted of four people:

This session sought to showcase current technologies in use, how they work, their benefits, their limitations, and their potential for designation as a standard technical measure. The session also sought to identify technological and other hurdles to the adoption and implementation of potential STMs, as well as the likely impacts of STMs on online service provider (OSP) business.
