APA San Diego is now accepting submissions for their annual call for entries, Untitled 2024 - Photographic Exhibition. Open to all photographers at any level.
Untitled is an annual competition and exhibition designed to showcase the best work of APA members and beyond – Images that show your unique vision, creative passion, and individualistic style, titled or untitled. This contest is open to all photographers at any level. All entries will be curated by our juror(s) and the top 20 images will be selected to display for exhibition with the top three (3) photos awarded prizes.
While an APA membership is not required to enter, members receive discounts on entries as well as sponsor benefits and discount pricing for gear and services throughout the year.
We welcome this year’s jurors: Bade Turgut, Director of Weinstein Hammons Gallery and Julie Skarwecki, Photography Consultant.
Entry fees help support programming and events for APA San Diego and 20% of the entry proceeds will be donated to the Flashes of Hope a program of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation that creates free uplifting portraits to honor the unique life and memories of every child fighting cancer.

Bade Turgut is the Director of Weinstein Hammons Gallery. Since 1996, the gallery has showcased internationally recognized artists across various media, with a particular emphasis on modern and contemporary photography. The gallery represents a distinguished roster of artists, including Alec Soth, Robert Mapplethorpe, Vera Lutter, Nancy Rexroth, Gordon Parks, Edward Burtynsky, and Matthew Brandt, among others. Weinstein Hammons Gallery has successfully placed works by its artists in prominent private collections and major museums nationwide. Bade Turgut holds a degree in Studio Arts, with a concentration in photography, from Macalester College.
Julie Skarwecki is a photography consultant and marketing coach with over a decade of experience in the industry working directly with artists and advertising agencies, editorial clients, and Fortune 500 companies. After getting started as a studio assistant and production coordinator to photographer and filmmaker Alex Prager, she moved on as a commercial agent representing photographers and illustrators across the United States and in Europe. Her mission as a photo consultant is to empower commercial photographers by providing expert guidance and proven strategies to enhance their marketing efforts and connect with their ideal clients.
