Beginning with the reckoning of childhood trauma, to the grappling of sexism, gender roles, body image and aging, Marky Kauffmann has found, by utilizing photography in her artistic expression, a way to scream and shout, and to be outspoken about her female identity.
Kauffmann is an award-winning photographer whose use of analog materials is experimental, creative, and expansive. Employing traditional darkroom techniques, alternative processes, and digital technologies, Kauffmann’s work has evolved over decades to become an expression of self-healing and empowerment.
Her talk will inspire attendees to find their own artistic voices, and include a demonstration of her experimental analog processes for which she has become known.
• IN-PERSON ONLY EVENT. Seating is limited. Please register in advance.
