Digital Asset Management principles and techniques for professional photographers

The one thing we all deal with is the mass accumulation of digital files that grow with each and every assignment. Lightroom Guys, D.A.Wagner and David Mark Erickson will show you practical methods and tools to help you manage your files and catalogs in ways that best serve a professional’s needs.

During this presentation, D.A. and David will review basic concepts behind Digital Asset Management and discuss the current state of the “Digital Photo Ecosystem.” From there, they will breakdown the key principles and guidelines that apply, no matter what software and hardware you use. After that, DA and David will review workflow practices and talk about specific software and hardware options.

• The DAM Hierarchy of Needs
• Backup Strategies, Workflows and Options
• Catalog, Archive and Metadata Strategies

The session will be a mixture of the professional experiences of D.A. and David as well as key, theoretical concepts in the recently released “The New DAM Book 3.0,” by Peter Krogh.
