Business 101: Registering Your Copyright

Join APA|DC on Tuesday, July 16th at 12pm EST on Zoom for Registering Your Copyright with photographer Steve Buchanan. Steve will briefly introduce what copyright is, who owns it, and why it's necessary to register your copyright. Then Steve will guide guests through a step-by-step introduction on how to register your copyright. A short Q&A to follow the walkthrough.

About Steve:

Steve’s been interested in photography since he was 14. While working at 7-Eleven stocking shelves, he spotted the label on the back of a roll of Kodak film which read, “Take this film to your Kodak processor or develop it yourself using Kodak chemistry.” Immediately he thought, “You mean you can do that?” And he was hooked. In the years since, he’s photographed everything from mummies to machine guns. He’s shot in lots of places he’s fond of, a few he’d like to forget (the blast freezer comes to mind), and all the while finding new ways to capture the beauty of the world.

Steve lives on Maryland's Eastern Shore with his family and a scruffy Jack Russell.
