MODE Festival by Flickr: Photography, Music & Creative Culture Three days in downtown Minneapolis bringing photography out of the apps and into the real world. Created by Flickr, MODE is a multi-venue party where photography meets art, technology, live music, and community. Whether you shoot professionally on a pro rig, love taking photos on your phone, or are just music-obsessed, there’s a place for you at MODE. General Info Dates: September 18th–20th, 2026 Full Schedule: Explore the full daily schedule & class lineup ⏳ Duration: Multi-venue daily schedules vary; guests typically spend 4+ hours per day Location: Multi-venue footprint across downtown Minneapolis (Loring Park Main Stage, The Marquette Hotel, Nicollet Mall, and The Alley Project) Age requirement: Attendees must be 18+ for General Festival access. ♿️ Accessible venues are available. Please contact accessibility@modefestival.com by September 4th, 2026, for specific accommodation requests. ❓ Please consult the FAQs of this experience here Daily Lineup & Experience DAY ONE — FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 Day Highlights: Kick off MODE exploring how tech meets image-making in Hacking AI with Real Photography, join industry conversations in Women in Photography, or learn to capture high-energy performances in Shooting Live Concerts and Behind the Lens: Sports Photography at Target Field. Live Music: Close out Day 1 with live mainstage performances from Vince Staples and Infinity Song. DAY TWO — SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 Day Highlights: Get hands-on with light and chemistry in the Cyanotype Printing Workshop, capture fast-moving skate action in Skateboard Photography, or connect with locals during the Hey Stranger street photowalk. Live Music: Switch gears as the sun sets with immersive live sets from Tycho and Washed Out. DAY THREE — SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 Day Highlights: Explore sound and visuals in Making the Album Cover, transform the everyday in the Finding Beauty in the Ordinary keynote, celebrate creator voices with Flickr x Black Women Photographers, and shoot the city during Minneapolis After Dark. Live Music: Finish three days of creativity with performances from Cory Wong and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. MODE After Dark (Presented by Renegade) When the festival ends, the party's just getting started. Renegade is taking over The Alley Project on Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00 PM–2:00 AM for an after-hours experience unlike anything else. Expect live music, immersive visuals, and a custom skate park from the crew behind unforgettable pop-up shows in the most unexpected places. (Note: A separate 1-Night or 2-Night After Dark Pass, alongside a standard festival ticket, is required for entry).
