Guest: Gavin Bond / Entertainment Photographer
Gavin Bond first found his path into photography whilst studying fashion design at Central St Martins School of Art.
As a fashion design student the highlight of the year was being able to attend the International collections, Gavin had the opportunity to attend a Vivienne Westwood show and took some photographs backstage. These grabbed Vivienne Westwood’s attention and she gave him the opportunity to shoot a brochure for the brand.
Gavin made the switch from Fashion Design over to the Graphic Design department where for the next few years he focused on photography.
Gavin’s images backstage led to commissions from publications such as, The Sunday Times Magazine and the Independent and in turn broadened the relationships with other designers such as Alexander Mc Queen, John Galliano both fellow students at Central St Martins along with such fashion houses as Channel & Valentino.
This was the hay day of The Supermodel and Gavin was capturing Naomi, Kate, Linda, Christy at a time that would always be remembered in fashion.
He spent five years in the UK shooting for such publications as Elle, Marie Claire, ID, Arena and then in 1996 started a relationship with British GQ that’s still going strong today having shot over 45 covers for that title.
Gavin eventually started receiving more commissions from clients in the US and decided to move to New York in the late 90’s continuing to shoot for fashion clients along with the lingerie brand Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
The path took a turn when he was commissioned to shoot for Vanity Fair and this is where the world of celebrity shooting opened up.
Gavin now divides his time between New York, Los Angeles & London shooting for all the major Films Studios & Networks capturing marketing & publicity campaigns in addition to shooting reportage on set his early passion for behind the scenes.
Gavin’s work in the fine art world has been recognized in many galleries and has built up a strong presence on the secondary market with both Philips & Christies auction houses.
Gavin is currently working on a major book and exhibit of his work that will be launching in the fall of 2022.

British photographer, Nathalie Gordon has an unusual but fantastic hyper realistic style. Her work is primarily beauty and advertising focused and is always packed with high sheen and edge. Graduation with a BA (Hons) in film and photography, Nathalie wanted to direct music videos and TV commercials. After an unusual circumstance where her mother was left with a hair salon Nathalie’s work transitioned into the hair and beauty space. Wanting to escape the dull skies of London Nathalie found herself in in sunny Los Angeles brunching, taking great photos and on occasion cycling up and down the PCH.
