APA NY Guided Exhibition Tour, Morgan Library,  May 23, 2019

The Extended Moment: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada

Join us on Thursday, May 23rd for a free guided tour for APA Members only at the Morgan Library & Museum. The exhibition that we will be touring is  “The Extended Moment: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada”. It brings forth around seventy works that reveal the historical, technological, and aesthetic breadth of the collection, which is little known in this country. Artists include Edward Burtynsky, Julia Margaret Cameron, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Lynne Cohen, John Herschel, Richard Learoyd, Lisette Model, Gordon Parks, Edward Steichen, and Josef Sudek.

The tour will be given by: Joel Smith, Richard L. Menschel Curator and Department Head, Photography. He is Morgan Library’s first curator of photography, appointed in 2012.

APA Members will meet in front around 3:15pm. Tour will start promptly at 3:30pm.
