APA Atlanta has traditionally hosted an annual holiday family portrait shoot for families of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, providing a professional photo shoot and photographs for patients and their families.
The photo shoot at PBTF has become a tradition we look forward to, but the Covid-19 pandemic has unfortunately made it impossible to safely host the event this year. We spent some time thinking about how to safely provide photos to the families at the PBTF this season, eventually deciding to connect with Fujifilm. We asked if Fujifilm would be willing to provide Instax cameras to the families at PBTF, so that they could take some of their own photos. Sure enough, our friends at Fujifilm North America generously donated 40 Instax cameras and plenty of extra packs of film. While this doesn’t provide the glitz and glamour of a professional photo shoot, these cameras will help create a collection of one-of-a-kind photographs that will be cherished for years to come.

We hope that this time next year we can again provide a photoshoot for the patients and families of the PBTF. Until then, everyone here at APA Atlanta has been thrilled to see some photos of the families opening their Instax cameras, and photos taken with their cameras. 4 - Bennett, diagnosed in 2018 with a low-grade thalamic glioma and is currently stable.
5 & 6 - Chelsea, a survivor, will be starting college next year.
