Naoki Terakawa | Architectural Photographer | TERAKAWA Photo Office

Naoki Terakawa is a Tokyo-based architectural photographer and founder of TERAKAWA Photo Office, an independent architectural photography practice specializing in the documentation of architecture throughout Japan.

Based in Tokyo, Japan, Terakawa provides architectural photography, completed building photography, interior photography, aerial and drone photography, and architectural model photography. His work encompasses residential architecture, commercial buildings, public facilities, cultural spaces, and the built environment.

From 2019 to 2023, Terakawa worked at Nacasa & Partners, a Japanese architectural photography company. He subsequently established TERAKAWA Photo Office as an independent practice in 2023.

His photographic approach emphasizes architectural accuracy, spatial composition, natural light, materiality, and the relationship between buildings and their surroundings. Rather than imposing a photographic interpretation, he seeks to document architecture faithfully while communicating the intentions of its designers.

TERAKAWA Photo Office works with architects, architectural firms, interior designers, developers, construction companies, and building owners. Photography services support architectural portfolios, project documentation, editorial publications, corporate websites, and architectural communications.

His architectural photography includes Nogeyama Zoological Gardens — Nakayoshi Plaza, designed by Koizumi Atelier and featured by Architecture Lab.

As an architectural photographer based in Tokyo, Terakawa accepts photography commissions throughout Japan, providing professional architectural images for domestic and international clients.

Architectural Photography, as it truly is.
