Pro Type: Photographer
Olga Nikishova is a Los Angeles–based fine art photographer whose practice centers on structure, repetition, and the psychological tension between order and rupture. Born in Moscow, Russia, she received her visual arts education at the British Higher School of Art & Design, following an earlier degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Moscow Aviation Institute. This dual background informs her work: a precise structural sensibility combined with a conceptual exploration of systems, fragility, and transformation. Nikishova works across staged still life, conceptual portraiture, and photographic collage. Her images often employ repetition as a visual language—rows, patterns, modular arrangements—suggesting stability while subtly revealing disruption. Through restrained compositions and controlled color palettes, she examines themes of identity, collective experience, and the hidden fractures within seemingly coherent systems. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including selections by the Los Angeles Center of Photography and presentations in Milan and New York. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
