Southern California based photographic artist Chari Godakanda was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. After moving to Palm Springs, California in 1996 he was introduced to the world of professional photography, film & imaging.

Chari’s personal photography has primarily documented humans & the environment & their interaction with one another. In 2009 he rediscovered his love for film & began capturing isolated moments in time on film, mostly in black

+ white.

Chari has strived to combine his photography with his passion for equality, education, social justice & community outreach. .
