Kharen is a proud IATSE 669 member across Canada and has a background in on-set photography and photojournalism. Her versatility allows her to work efficiently with small teams or larger crews, adapting to whatever the project requires.

Her talent has earned her multiple awards, including recognition in PDN and Applied Arts magazines for her celebrity portraits. She’s also been honored for her powerful series documenting spinal cord injuries in teens, which raised awareness for a North American-wide prevention campaign.

Originally from New Zealand and now a Canadian and US resident, Kharen’s production company, Public Pictures, operates out of Los Angeles and Vancouver. She’s always on the move, traveling the world to create unforgettable images that captivate and inspire.
