Pari-Cherry

My name is Pari “Cherry” Aryafar and I am a fight journalist currently based in Amsterdam. Through my photography and writing, I document the combat sports subculture. As an athlete who also trains martial arts, I'm able to highlight the details that define the community and illustrate the perspective of fighters. Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to New York City in 2014 where I received my Masters in Writing from The New School.

I have documented several international tournaments on behalf of the United States Muaythai Federation, as well as worked nationally across the United States and internationally across Europe, Asia, and North America. I have shot and worked with numerous well-established athletes, gyms, promotions, and tournaments.
