Lori Abrams

Pro Type: Photographer

Lori is fine art, documentary, and street photographer working on both color and black and white. She has a deep interest in the natural world. Lori holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a graduate certificate in Middle Eastern Studies from Tel Aviv University. She has dropped cameras on three continents, and has a modest goal of not dropping cameras on at least two more.


In 2019, she received the Anthony Almeida Award at the Salmagundi Club Open Exhibition in Photography in New York City, as well as Best in Photography at the 20th Annual Gaelen Art Show in New Jersey. In 2020, she had her first solo exhibit and that same year she was recognized with honorable mentions in three categories by the 15th Annual Julia Margaret Cameron Award. In December 2021, she was included in the 6th Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography at FotoNostrum in Barcelona, and in an exhibition of landscape photography at Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis. Her exhibit entitled “The Quiet Landscape and other images” showed at the Rosalind and Alfred Lippman Gallery in Livingston, NJ in Spring 2022. She is a member of the Studio Six photography collective.
