American Photographic Artists National
Sarah is a photographer and filmmaker based in D.C. She focuses on long form stories that encompass people, place and culture. Having an older deaf brother, she grew up bilingual in American Sign Language (ASL) and English balancing deaf culture and a larger hearing world. From her own lived experiences, she is driven to make work that explores a more nuanced approach to visualizing the lives of deaf and hard of hearing people. And the importance of accessibility advocacy by documenting the honest realities of many deaf people in this country today.
Includes chapter events, photographer interviews, partner discounts, industry trends, and more.
