Nicolas Polo

Nicolas Polo is a photojournalist and darkroom printer based in Washington, D.C., whose work has been commissioned by FC Bayern Munich, Peacock, the English Premier League, Inter Miami FC, and the Washington Spirit, among other selected clients.

Born in Bolivia and raised in the U.S., his immigrant background informs his approach to storytelling, guiding him to go beyond the surface of whatever community or culture he interacts with. His work spans a range of subjects—documenting the major & minor sporting events, the everyday moments, and the deep connections between people and place.

His photography blends a documentary approach with a strong sense of atmosphere, often highlighting the human presence that gives a scene its meaning. Through his lens, he aims to create visual records that resonate beyond a single moment, offering deeper insights into culture, identity, and shared experiences.
